Cynthia Johnson, MSN, FNP-C
Founder, Meridian Health and Wellness
Cynthia Johnson, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years in healthcare and a passion for delivering healthcare the way it should be—personal, accessible, and individualized to each patient’s needs.
A Cleveland County native and graduate of Shelby High School, she obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Cleveland Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC Charlotte. After more than a decade as a public health nurse, she went on to earn dual Master of Science degrees in Family Practice Nursing and Public Health Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
She spent 7 years as a board-certified school health nurse and the past 16 years as adjunct faculty in the ADN program with Foothills Nursing Consortium and Isothermal Community College.
Cynthia founded Meridian Health & Wellness to provide a high-touch alternative to rushed urgent care visits and traditional insurance-based clinics. Her services range from well check-ups and chronic care to women’s health, urgent sick visits, and health education—offered with same-day, after-hours, and virtual flexibility to meet the real-life demands of working individuals and families.
She resides in Cleveland County with her two sons and is proud to serve the citizens of Western North Carolina. She is an active member of her community, having volunteered with the Junior Charity League of Shelby and the Cleveland County Heart Association.
